Abstract

Ascites, the pathological accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity, is a common and serious complication of chronic liver diseases, including those caused by Hepatitis B and C. This study evaluates the prevalence and associated risk factors of ascites in patients with Hepatitis B and C. Data were collected from 322 patients and analyzed to determine the relationship between ascites and these infections. The findings reveal significant differences in the prevalence of ascites between the two groups, highlighting the need for tailored management strategies.
