Abstract

Malathion, an organophosphate insecticide is acetycholinesterase inhibitor that has potential to contaminate the ground water. The 96 hours LC50 value of malathion was determined in four-month-old Fingerlingss Channa punctatus with a body weight 1.52±0.40g and body length 6.29 ± 0.80 at 32±1°c temperature. LC50 value was determined using finney method. The LC 50 value was 2 ppm for 96 hours.
