Abstract

The result of a survey conducted among professionals in Kuwait, the present paper provides a realistic perspective on the material selection process in the preconstruction and construction phases of a construction project. At the same time, it highlights the appropriate strategies for ensuring a high and lasting quality of construction materials, well after the delivery date of a project. In our opinion, the findings of the study provide a useful framework for improving the material selection process and ensuring the use of high-quality, sustainable materials in construction projects, thus leading to better construction outcomes and a more sustainable built environment.
