Abstract

Chattering effect of sliding mode controller (SMC) is the most fundamental issue that has drawn the attention of many researchers in the area of advance control design. This paper is an attempt to address the effect of chattering in industrial process. Interacting three tank process is one of the challenging systems in industries that had requires much focus on the control design both in servo as well as regulatory operations. Level control in tanks is essential in petrochemical, paper, pharmaceutics and other industries therefore, interacting level control process is considered as working example in this paper. The performance of the system has been analyzed and results depict the efficiency of the controller.
