Abstract

The paper seeks to explore the current challenges before Micro Small and Medium Enterprises in India and how those challenges could be overcome through better understanding of their needs. MSME’s are the foundation of economic and social development of the countries of the world. The Government of India has therefore come forward with various assistance schemes which help in improving quality of production, marketing ability, and availability of easy credit and manpower requirement in the sectors. The paper begins with a brief introduction to the Government Assistance for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises in India and provide a snapshot of issues and challenges faced by the sector. The paper also discusses various steps taken that could be used to address the needs of the MSME’s.
