Practical Implications: Emotionally intelligent managers should be viewed as key elements in driving an organization forward, in order to maintain a healthy work environment for themselves and their subordinates. Emotional intelligence should be considered one of the key factors that must be evaluated as criteria for selecting candidates for management positions in an organisation. Originality/Value: The present study illustrates the necessity of emotional intelligence in management.
