Abstract

With the growth in the demand for e-payment services in India especially post demonetization, the aim here is to ascertain the selected important factors that play into the acceptance of these services using Technology Acceptance Model. The TAM model is empirically evaluated by using data obtained from 106 respondents through a survey. This study compares these factors with the Chinese market to understand the differences in the perception of users in the two countries and to deduce the reason India needed demonetization to initiate user acceptance unlike China.
