Abstract

This paper empirically investigates the relationship between the Dual Income, No Kids (DINK) mindset and household standard of living in Bikaner City, Rajasthan. Using primary survey data collected from 500 urban households, the study applies descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression techniques. The findings reveal a statistically significant and positive association between DINK orientation and standard of living after controlling for income, education, and age. The results highlight the relevance of changing household structures for urban consumption patterns and regional economic planning in tier-II Indian cities.
